Top Ten ways to know you’ve landed in a Hallmark Movie!
– You are stranded (by car, train, or plane) in a town called Evergreen, Hollyville, Tinselton, Bethlehem, or AmazonPrimeville.
– The locals say the town is dying but the streets are packed with people dressed red, green, and in their Christmas best.
– There is a fully lighted Christmas tree within 10 feet of you wherever you go.
– There are Christmas lights in every bathroom, laundry room, and root cellar in town. And the electricity used in one night to light all the Christmas lights in the town would be equal to the amount used for week by the entire East Coast.
– Although the non-Christmas trees are green and covered in leaves, there are little drifts of snow strategically deposited around the town.
– At some point you will have a snowball fight, see a shooting star, or take part in the town tree lighting ceremony.
– At the exact moment when you’ve fallen in love with the town mechanic, policeman, fireman, or farmer…and are about to express your love for him/her you’ll get the news that your car is fixed, the roads are cleared, or the train is running so you can get back to your job in the city.
– At one point you will meet an older person who looks vaguely like a country music singer, an once famous movie actor, or a star of a popular sitcom from the 80‘s.
– Although it’s in the middle of winter (or a blizzard) people paint ornaments on picnic tables in the town square and all the food is bought from street vendors.
– As you’re living your story you’ll get the deja vu feeling that you’ve experienced the exact same story…at least a dozen times.
My mom just confirmed you hit the nail on the head here!
