The Thanksgiving Jar Activity
Mom,
If you’re looking for a simple, easy to do activity that will help your children express thankfulness…this is it. We call it the Thanksgiving Jar and it couldn’t be simpler.
All we do is set out a jar in the middle of our dinning room table along with a few slips of paper and something to write with. Then we instruct our children to write down things they are thankful for over the week or so, put them in the jar, and then we read them all on Thanksgiving Day or the day or so afterwards (depending on travel).
Want some Thanksgiving verses to read? Try some of theses:
1 Chronicles 16:8…34
Psalm 9:1
Psalm 30:4
Psalm 35:18
Psalm 44:8
Psalm 86:12
Psalm 95:2
Psalm 100:4
Psalm 107:22
Psalm 118:1
Philippians 4:6
Colossians 4:2
1 Timothy 2:1
Remember: it’s not enough to be thankful…you have to give it for it to be thanksgiving…otherwise it’s really ThanksKeeping!
You have so much to be thankful for!
