Make your Homeschool group (co-op) a Smiling Homeschooler Group
Hey Mom,
I’ve been an RV-er for about 16 years. We’ve traveled the country as a family of ten, sometimes being out
on the road for up top 100 days in a row!!! My kids will have great memories one day…once they get out of counseling!! We don’t stay at many campgrounds…unless you count Wal-Mart as a campground…but if I were looking for one, I’d want one that was a Good Sam’s Campground. So when I saw the Good Sam’s logo…I’d know what to expect.
I was thinking…that it would be a great tool to have for homeschool groups. So we’ve put out some 
guidelines for a Smiling Homeschooler Group. Of course each homeschool group has it’s own flavor and distinctions…but if your group fits the criteria below why not post the Smiling Homeschooler Icon (provided) so when moms see your group, they’ll know what to expect and that they can expect to smile when they join.
Here are the few simple criteria of a Smiling Homeschool Group:
– You believe and agree with these truths:
- Home is the best place for your children
- Parents are the best teachers of THEIR OWN children
- Every child is a masterpiece
- The relationship with the child is the most important part of homeshcooling
– You have a designated Mom sharing time (BTW – We’d be happy to provide sharing questions to facilitate discussions – just ask)
– There is no undue pressure put on you or your children.
If those simple truths apply to your homeschool group, then you’re a Smiling Homeschool Group and you should place the icon on your group’s Facebook page/web-page. Now when people see the group…they’ll know what to expect.
Also, let us know where your group is located and contact information so we can begin to start a Smiling Homeschooler database so others can find you.
